Client KYC Analyst

The Client KYC team is responsible for onboarding clients in accordance with local and global regulatory requirements. This role will entail working directly with our clients, business, and various infrastructure teams including the Anti-Financial Crime function. The key focus for the Client KYC team is to ensure the client journey, from inception of the relationship, is safe, streamlined and efficient. Responsibilities will include:

  • Onboard new clients in line with KYC/ AML policies for Australian and other relevant global jurisdictions.
  • Review existing clients throughout the entire client journey, Periodic Reviews, Event triggers and Offboarding.
  • Interact with Clients and Business to obtain KYC and regulatory information/ documentation.
  • Work within a strong controls environment that manages and minimizes inherent operational risk, whilst providing excellent client service.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders including service providers and vendors as required.
  • Support ad-hoc projects for new processes or industry initiatives.
  • Engage in cross-training, share knowledge and actively contribute to the development of self and the wider team

 

About You

  • Minimum 3 years KYC/ AML experience within financial services industry – at least 2 years Institutional Client Onboarding (preferably including recent New Zealand KYC/ AML experience)
  • Knowledge of Australian KYC (AUSTRAC) jurisdictional requirements - mandatory
  • Knowledge of New Zealand (FIU), Hong Kong (HKMA) and ADGM (FSRA) is advantageous
  • Experience working in a client facing environment, with proven experience in delivering from an operational perspective
  • Corporate Finance / Advisory / Private Capital Client Onboarding experience is advantageous
  • Operations experience supporting Sales and Trading – Equities and Fixed Income
  • Ability to work and partner with business and peer infrastructure groups
  • Able to identify risks inherent in the operational aspects of the business and provide solutions
  • Experience with Fenergo, IHS Markit, World-Check One, BvD is advantageous
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter, highly organized, able to work independently and take ownership
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, multitask and work under pressure
  • Attention to detail with uncompromising focus on output quality
