Fixed Income Business Manager - 2027 Graduate

About the Job

We are looking for a junior Business Manager to join the COO team within the Fixed Income business in Sydney. This is a broad and dynamic role offering exposure to strategic projects, risk management, trading operations, regulatory compliance and technology.

The successful candidate will join Barrenjoey’s February 2027 graduate program or could start earlier on a part-time or full-time basis depending on availability.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will be involved in the day-to-day operations of the business while contributing to longer-term initiatives. As a member of the Fixed Income business, you will be based on the trading floor and your responsibilities will span operational risk management including business controls, preparation of management information, trade lifecycle oversight, regulatory and compliance coordination, and contribution to a range of ongoing strategic business projects.  Developing a sound understanding of trading technology will be important. 

The role suits someone who is curious, commercially minded, and comfortable operating across multiple workstreams. You will engage with colleagues across trading, sales and the firm’s enterprise functions, making strong communication and relationship-building skills essential.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in a finance, law, accounting or related discipline, graduating in 2026
